Goal

The company has the main mySalita application for interpreters, translators, and clients, where clients can post jobs for translators or interpreters. In mySalita, there is a God mode that allows administrators to influence the system in case of inquiries from clients, translators, or interpreters. The company's management decided to abandon the God mode and create a separate product exclusively for the application administrators under the SkiwoConnect company's sub-brand. This application has a different visual style, its own design system, and is written in more modern programming languages.

In this case, one of the administrator application pages is presented, which is crucial. On this page, administrators can assign interpreters to jobs, track the status of these assignments, influence them, and the finance department can monitor the financial aspects of these jobs. The main task was to create a page for administrators and the finance department that would help them perform their tasks faster and more efficiently.

Process

The first stage of my work involved creating a questionnaire for stakeholders and developers to identify the main issues in the client and technical aspects. Additionally, a user flow was established to understand potential user corner cases and grasp the primary flow experienced by administrators.

The second stage included interviews with application administrators and the finance department to identify the problems they encounter and gather their suggestions and preferences. All interviews were organized into stickers.

The third stage involved creating wireframes and testing them with users. During this stage, the primary and secondary functionalities needed by administrators were defined, and their placement on the page was determined.

The fourth stage consisted of developing hi-fi designs based on the design system and product styling. Additional testing sessions were conducted with administrators and the finance department, resulting in additional suggestions for page improvement.

The fifth stage involved creating all page states, statuses, pop-ups/drawers, and hovers.

The sixth stage comprised creating documentation for the page and clickable prototypes for developers.
